I posted this video for the few seconds we can see the beautiful Martin Lings - Shaykh Abu Bakr Siraj-ad-Din, at the beginning giving the Islamic greeting. He has gone now to be with The Beloved, but his books remain like signposts on the path, and I named this blog in honour of his memory. He wrote about a tradition which says that when hell has burned out, and it must exhaust itself one day, the first green thing that will grow there is watercress.
